{"id":2050,"date":"2013-09-22T22:47:23","date_gmt":"2013-09-22T21:47:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.danielebesana.com\/blog\/?p=2050"},"modified":"2014-03-21T18:10:16","modified_gmt":"2014-03-21T17:10:16","slug":"baltic-cycling-tour-7-valga-murese-farm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/danielebesana.com\/blog\/life\/travels\/baltic-cycling-tour-7-valga-murese-farm","title":{"rendered":"Baltic Cycling Tour #7: Valga to the Murese farm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><center><iframe src=\"https:\/\/connect.garmin.com:80\/activity\/embed\/358126049\" height=\"548\" width=\"465\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/center>The most lively memory I have of this stage of the Baltic tour is that I was close to damage the physical side of my spiritual guide.<\/p>\n<p>The first part was the most pleasant one: on a train to Valga, after leaving the beautiful Sigulda where we a guy working at the train station told us, is very good Italian <em>\u201cI was living in Italy for three years, close to Varese city. Dull place. Now I\u2019m back here and I have a safe job for the railways company. I have a legal contract. There are many jobs available here in Latvia\u201d<\/em>. What can I say.<\/p>\n<p>In Valga we had breakfast, not before wasting a lot of time looking for a caf\u00e9.\u00a0But Valga is a bar-less place so we ended up in a fast-food place in a mall instead.<\/p>\n<p>So what? Soon after we could enter in Estonia and the world there felt upside down.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a class=\"photoswipe\" href=\"https:\/\/lh6.ggpht.com\/-o9euAUiOsPw\/UjICYHJDKpI\/AAAAAAAAG7c\/-WhhV2MnHl0\/s0\/IMG_3642.JPG\"  rel=\"lightbox[2050] post-\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"pe2-photo  \" title=\"Entering Estonia!\" alt=\"Entering Estonia!\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.ggpht.com\/-o9euAUiOsPw\/UjICYHJDKpI\/AAAAAAAAG7c\/-WhhV2MnHl0\/w400-o\/IMG_3642.JPG\" width=\"400\" height=\"533\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Entering Estonia, 3rd country of our trip<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"clear\">\u00a0After a long cycling we stop in Torva (to read: ToRRva) to have lunch. We then proceed in the direction of L\u00f5ve (to read: Luuve) ready to take Facebook pictures at the village road signs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"clear\">But, as a metaphor of life, we got lost looking for L\u00f5ve. In fact, we abandon the idea of looking for L\u00f5ve altogether and we took the fastest way to the destination. Like many people that settle down with whoever partner just for convenience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"clear\">But I soon realized that the new road taken wasn&#8217;t the fastest. It was a big detour of many many kilometers. Once again, if you put\u00a0L\u00f5ve as secondary, you&#8217;ll end up with real problems to face in life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"clear\">Never the less, we made it to Murese farm even with few hours of delay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"clear\">This is how Eva, our friend from the farmer family that hosted us, describes the event in her <a title=\"Murese farm waiting the Italians\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lifeinmuresefarm.blogspot.nl\/2013\/07\/got-lost-looking-for-love.html\" target=\"_blank\">blog<\/a>\u00a0post:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>we were expecting the Italians to arrive, they started to cycle from Valga at 9.40am&#8230;should have arrived at 4pm the latest&#8230;but wind, Estonian &#8220;big mountains&#8221; and their romantic nature were not on their side. They went looking for a place called L\u00f5ve that they found is equal to the word Love and they got lost in their way looking for love.
