Greetings from dark Amsterdam, where I arrived back a couple of weeks ago. I say dark, because\u00a0it is<\/strong> dark. The lack of sunlight is the most shocking thing after coming back from SE Asia. The second most shocking thing is the temperature, but to be honest isn’t too bad this year.<\/p>\n

Business wise the lack of light is favorable, because sometimes I feel that\u00a0working at home and don’t look out of\u00a0the window is the best thing I can do these days!<\/p>\n

Let’s check what happened in November.<\/p>\n

Holidays!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In November, for the first time in more than three years of self-employment, I gave myself\u00a0two weeks off\u00a0<\/strong>and focused on traveling across Indonesia.<\/p>\n

I’m currently on vacation until November 18th.<\/p>\n

The support email was connected to\u00a0HelpScout<\/a>, a popular helpdesk solution that I’m testing out.\u00a0A collaborator\/friend provided the first point of contact for the (few) requests that came in.<\/p>\n

Of course<\/em>\u00a0I kept checking my email and doing small things online, but\u00a0not being in the front line <\/strong>and be able to tell customers “I’ll be on holidays for two weeks” felt really good!<\/strong><\/p>\n

After holidays I picked up work in Ubud, Bali – a place that I really enjoyed for the mix of new-age tourism & Balinese traditions.<\/p>\n

WP-OK<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This is my WordPress maintenance & support service for the Italian market. Even if earnings are still low, I got some interesting contacts in November and I think things will grow in coming months.<\/p>\n

This report excludes my earnings from WordPress client work<\/strong>, but WP-OK<\/a> is a\u00a0productized services<\/a>\u00a0that completely runs remotely.
\nI’m considering adding to this report also the earnings coming from my freelance customers that I turned into a subscription service, because at the end of the day I also work with them online.<\/p>\n

Another\u00a0Sponsored Review<\/h3>\n

One of the projects I\u2019m focusing on is RouterFreak, a blog for network engineers. I\u2019ve been a network engineers for many\u00a0years so I can (still)\u00a0understand the audience and the very technical subjects.<\/p>\n

Last month I got yet another request for a sponsored review from a tech company!<\/p>\n

I offered them different advertising options, increasing the price compared to the previous offer I did to a similar company.<\/p>\n

They accepted\u00a0the\u00a0most expensive option<\/strong>, that was a product review written by us: $1600 USD!<\/strong><\/p>\n

That\u2019s the highest sponsorship I ever got. I’m very happy about it, and prove that this model is working and companies have money to invest in this niche. It also prove that I’ve to keep raising the prices!<\/p>\n

Anyway, this will be paid next month so is not included in this report.<\/p>\n

I know that this is an income report, but I think is fun to share where\u00a0I’ve been last month considering that I met so many other digital nomads\u00a0that are constantly or very often on the move<\/em>.<\/p>\n
